Objective & Vision

As Sarjapura Curries builds this culture of eating healthy and trusting community, the vision of building a learning centre and space for activities related to nature, reviving dying handcrafted skills and holistic life is taking shape.

Sarjapura Curries has nested itself in B Hosahalli, which literally translates to New Village, an unconventional space for learning skills, growing food, raising animals, conservation of biodiversity and a space for the young and the old irrespective of their background or social/financial status. A much-needed niche in this ever-racing world. A space where everyone is welcome to learn a skill, participate in the farm activity, spend time or take away something back home.

The space aims to make the best out of waste and trigger creativity and innovation in the minds of the visitors. It is a visual demonstration of functional art built from traditional knowledge that took inspiration from nature and trying to grow food with very little intervention, inclusive of cattle based farming methods as a demonstrative model. A space that will be as much for the visitors as it is for me.

Post pandemic times, a considerable amount of work is done in the farm to build infrastructure, to host local farming communities, students from schools around and urban gardeners to learn about foraging, sharing of recipes and other narratives around the farming communities.
